The “Church on the Hill” concert series will present Lux Aeterna, a concert of chamber music dedicated to light, at 3pm on Sunday Sept 2nd at the Berkeley Springs Presbyterian Church.
The concert coincides with the dedication of a new stained glass window in memory of late Lydia Walker, long time music director at the Presbyterian Church.
The program will feature works by Bach, Handel, Debussy, arrangements of well loved hymns and two new compositions by Walker Williams. Williams recently earned his Masters in Music Composition from the University of British Columbia. He is the son of Brice and Ann Williams of Berkeley Springs, and the grandson of Lydia Walker.
The performers include; Alexander Marte – Violin, Pat Springer – Piano, Rhiannon Griffiths – Soprano, Tula Ruggiero – Harp, Walker Williams – Oboe, and Lisa Ewers – Soprano. The concert is free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall.
